Freaktography – Notes from March 11, 2020

Guest Speaker: Dave from Freaktography – Urban Exploring Photography

If it is dangerous and spooky, would you venture out and photograph it anyway? The answer is a resounding “Yes!” for Dave, from Freaktography.

Dave took us through a discovery of abandoned houses, churches and industrial facilities.
Beyond the stunning pictures, however, there are many stories to tell. Stories of grief and loss. Stories of human suffering. Stories of hidden treasures. Stories of scattered memories. Stories of ghostly encounters. 

A big thank you to Dave for opening the door of these off-limits spaces and guiding us through his explorations.

February project of the month – Chocolate & other delectable treats

We had a total of 49 great photos submitted by 26 participants. This project was extra fun since participants could actually eat their delicious props!

Participants to the Photo Project of the Month qualified for a draw. The prize was a $20.00 gift card from Indigo/Chapters. The lucky winner was Doug Banting. Congratulations, Doug!

The theme of our next Photo Project of the Month is “Time for Reflection”, with a submission deadline of Sunday, April 5, 2019.
