Our March meeting will explore how to get started simply with Astrophotography. The presentation will be given by two Arizona-based astronomers, Pete Pfeiffer and Ed Jacoby. They will cover using smart phones, digital cameras, spotting scoped, telescopes, and dedicated astro-modified cameras attached to telescopes. They will provide samples of night sky images that they and other Arizona-based astronomers have taken.

His astronomy interest started with the Super Moon in 2011 and has grown ever since. Pete co-founded the Highlands Astronomy Club in Marana Arizona.

He has been active in several astronomy groups through the years, most recently with the Sun City Astronomy Club where he is on the board and the Tucson Amateur Astronomy Association. Ed is also involved with the Chiricahua Astronomy Complex, an observatory south of Willcox, AZ.
