Welcome to the Grimsby Photo Group

Like many things, it all started with a small idea. This one stemmed from a simple question: Wouldn’t it be nice to have a photography club in Grimsby? The idea took hold, and in 2016, the Grimsby Photo Group was born.

Today, the Grimsby Photo Group provides a venue for amateur photographers interested in sharing and learning from one another in a non-competitive and friendly environment. It aims to explore all aspects of photography, regardless of skill levels and equipment complexity – from DSLRs to mobile devices – while developing a strong sense of camaraderie.

Under the broad umbrella of photography, we have room for everyone! Our membership-based platform has much to offer:

• Monthly meetings featuring guest speakers or members’ presentations
• Projects of the month showcasing a theme-specific compilation of 1 or 2 photographs submitted by our members
• Special interest groups (SIGs) focussing on areas such as Adobe CC, iPhone photography, and Waterfalls/Nature photography
• Weekly “Meet & Chat” sessions at the Public Library (these are also open to the public at large)
• Group outings
• A Summer Print Event to exhibit members’ printed work
• A Winter Festive Luncheon to celebrate the successes of the year
• Workshops and other learning events

With an exciting new roster, 2024 will open the door to a new exploration of “Land, Sky & Sea”. Why not join us in this adventure? We would love to have you on board!

Our annual membership fees are $70/individual and $120/2 family members.
